“I strongly believe that financial planning is as important to consumers as medical care, legal services, education and other helping professions.”
I first got involved with FPA as a corporate sponsor about 20 years ago. I’ve always represented custodians that served the needs of financial planners and investment advisers, and I long ago came to admire and respect financial planners and the benefits they bring to their clients.
I stay involved with FPA because I’ve been blessed with many wonderful friendships that have enriched my life both professionally and personally.
I strongly believe that financial planning is as important to consumers as medical care, legal services, education and other helping professions. Every consumer can benefit from the value that professional, objective financial planning can deliver, but not every consumer can access this valuable service because they can’t afford it, don’t know how to find it, or don’t trust it.
[As FPA’s president-elect,] I’m committed to doing everything I can to bring the financial planning profession the same level of recognition as that enjoyed by doctors, lawyers, accountants and teachers.
