A former corporate investment banker who realized his true passion was personal finance, Roger Ma is focused on sharing his knowledge and excitement about financial planning through a new book and by speaking at industry conferences.

I'm Roger Ma, a NYC-based Certified Financial Planner®, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst^®, and founder of lifelaidout^®. I work with people across the country to help them reach their financial goals, live great lives, and achieve peace of mind.

While working in investment banking at Morgan Stanley, I became more interested in the personal side of finance rather than the corporate side. That passion led me on a path to learn everything I could about personal finance and become a financial planner.

I'm excited to share that I'm currently writing a personal finance and career book that will be published in early 2020. A lot of my time in 2019 will be taken up with writing the book, but I'm hoping to submit an article to be published in the Journal of Financial Planning, as well as speak at more FPA conferences! 2019 is going to be my year.
